What not to Wear: Denim

 I typically like to keep it positive around here, and talk more about what to wear vs. what not to wear. 
But I have seen so much bad denim… a person can only take so much. 
This overly-embellished overly-distressed overly-yuck denim was big five or so years ago….
Sadly, you can still purchase things like this, so I am here to say NO and STOP!
This look really really needs to go far away. Especially if you are 35 and over 😉 
 Stick with simple dark denim with dark stitching and no crazy washes ladies and gents. 
Also, bootcut and other wide legged pants need to come down to the middle of your arch (at least!) or they look like high-waters.

The Real Real Shopping Consignment

All items are DVF or Kate Spade and currently for sale on The Real Real 
One of my very favorite places to shop for myself is The Real Real.
It is a fabulous website that sells like-new bridge and designer clothing. 
You can find everything from a DVF wrap to Valentino pumps on this retail website. 
I have purchased a lot of my Kate Spade and Diane Von Furstenburg from The Real Real over the years. I couldn’t be more pleased with the condition of the garments and with their customer service.   You can find Kate Spade handbags and dresses for $75.  One of my styling philosophies is to buy the highest quality you can afford. 
This is a great way to purchase out-of-reach items on a Banana Republic budget!
