About Me… What about you?

 Hey there everyone! It is Friday. I hope you have a fun weekend planned? 
I am relieved this week is over it was a bit overwhelming for me I must admit. 
I have really let the blog posts slide with all my other commitments both personal and business.
One of the areas I feel I severely lack in the whole blogging business is putting myself out there. 
In “real life” I am a talker… people can’t shut me up (seriously, ask anyone that knows me well).
But when I post on the blog I clam up, I don’t know what to say or how to even start writing…. 
See…my degree is Fashion, not English, I am not a fabulous, funny or  entertaining writer 😉 .
I feel like I don’t put myself out their in a way that you “know” the girl behind the blog.
So in a effort to improve this… I just updated my about me page and I thought I’d share it with you. Not that you even care to know the the girl behind the blog, just show me some cute outfits :), lady that is why I am here. 
 SO I have to ask you all a favor… Since I am going to try very hard to put myself out there more. Can you humor me and tell me something about you? I LOVE when you email me and tell me about yourself and that is the way I have gotten to “know” a few of you out there! Sometimes I forget people are even reading, so when I get one of your emails I am like oh wow! someone is reading 🙂 . So just leave a little comment here or on Facebook, or email me , K?

I have two beautiful children and a very handsome, kind husband.
I have lived in, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, and California.
I am a Kappa Kappa Gamma
I get bored easily.
I wish I liked to work-out but I don’t.
I have met a lot of celebrities but my favorite people to meet are successful business owners.
I have sewn since I was eight, when I got my first sewing machine. 
I am not a writer, I have a degree in fashion, sorry for all typos and grammatical errors.
I am horrible at team sports.
My office is a mess 99% of the time.
I am the oldest in my family so I am really bossy (I am never wrong either).
I have known I would be in fashion since 8th grade.
I am turning 40 in October.
I don’t like to cook.
I am incredibly sarcastic.
I don’t have a “favorite” store, I shop everywhere.
I watch a lot of movies because I love the set and costume design.

Lucky Me I just happened to have a haircut on Friday so…
My FABULOUS hairstylist decided to give me a curly do!
As we were leaving our darling sitter ( Hi Camila)
told me I really should take pictures of outfits for the blog 😉

Layered Bracelets Rock! 
 We headed Downtown to our Gaslamp District, for a culinary tour called 
“Brothels, Bites and Booze”. 
I booked this through SODiego Tours  (it was a daily deal so I paid 1/2 price).
This is the little friend I made waiting for our tour guide.
I am a SUCKER for Chihuahua profiles. 
She was hanging out in the Art Gallery (don’t tell Paco).
Katie, the tour guide, very sweet, intelligent and well traveled!
 
Our Tour of the Gas Lamp begins in the Stingery District 
 A new to me cocktail the Russian Mule (my favorite of the evening)
 One of the MANY Old Brothels we saw ( no longer a Brothel of course 😉 )
We learned a lot of interesting tidbits about our city’s seedy past!

The tour concluded at The Melting Pot and I was stuffed!
Highlights: 
I ate too much, there are small portions at @five restaurants in 2 hours so it is very filling. 
We were both literally too full at the end ! I wish I hadn’t eaten my entire portion 🙂
I had the best Margarita I have ever had at Tequila 100
It was a light tour not too much information, perfect for a date night.
It would be more fun if you knew the whole group
The tour guide was great!
Whenever we are downtown we almost always head into Urban Outfitters. 
It is fun for both of us. Brian loves all the funny chotchkies. 
We got sucked into this display of retro glasses.

What did you do this weekend?

Hey there I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
My little (in size not attitude) 13yr old Paco made the local  news in his get-up!
Talk about a stylish Chihuahua 😉
( My tween made the very glittery top hat ) and he was quite the site at our neighborhood parade!

We also had our first beach day of the summer. It was an amazing perfect sunny San Diego day.
