Certified Stylist Jennifer Rosson is a person to keep eyes on for her successful
endeavors in the highly competitive industry of fashion, drawing eyes to a city
known more for its pristine surf and sand than for its sartorial savvy. After a rigorous NYC interview process, Rosson was handpicked by the
Stacy London (of TLC’s What Not to Wear)to join her elite network of stylists at Style for Hire.
This collaboration provides the opportunity for Rosson to confer
with stylists from around the country and to incorporate global fashion ideas
into each of her styling sessions.
As the founder and owner of the popular Style Your Life,
Rosson’s passion is helping her clients individually boost their confidence by
discovering and celebrating their personal style through closet audits, shopping assistance, and outfit building. She emphasizes the importance of
finding and expressing personal style and embraces her clients’
lifestyles and personalities in order to create a wardrobe that allows them to
wear their clothing with confidence and style. Rosson’s efforts go beyond
building a better closet for her clients. She believes that when helping her clients look their best, they feel their best and
this combination of poise and conviction transfers over into every aspect of the
clients’ lives. Her specialty? Styling for the mainstream- real people, real budgets, real lives.
Rosson’s own personal style: Playful, Vintage, Preppy
Rosson has built a foundation of expertise that branches out
to all areas of the retail clothing industry. Destined for a life in fashion,
Rosson began sewing at the age of eight and made a custom jumpsuit for her
first concert (Rick Springfield, naturally) at age twelve.
After graduating with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Design from the University of Wyoming, Rosson
immediately began working in retail management. She went on to become a buyer
for the regional boutique department store chain, Jacobson’s, which had 26
stores in the Midwest and Florida. Eventually,
she turned back to construction and developed a line of children’s clothing that
she carried in her own boutique and sold to other specialty boutiques around
the country.
With Style for Life, Rosson tailors her expertise so that it is
accessible to all shapes and sizes through personal shopping services as well
as in-store seminars at brick and mortar retailers such as Banana Republic, The Gap,
Kendra Scott Jewelry, and Westfield Shopping Centers. For
those looking to access her style tips digitally, Rosson
provides daily click-to-purchase style collages on Style Your Life, read by
thousands of fans each day. She reveals style secrets from the everyday to the
extraordinary to help her readers gain the fashion confidence to look and feel
their best. Her daily dose includes current fashion trends, in person coverage
of New York Fashion Week, buzz-worthy contests and valuable discounts.
Rosson has also created classes for “tweens,” offering her
style expertise to a younger set in order to cultivate a positive self-image.
Experts in several fields are brought in to teach life skills such as
organization, nutrition, skin and hair care and personal finance, just to name
a few. The Style Your Life Tween Lifestyle class also contributes to the
community by volunteering to help at local philanthropic events. Participants
learn to dress for their body type and become the embodiment of the old adage,
“Good clothes open all doors.”
I believe that Rosson is not only someone to watch in the next
year, but for many years to come. Her success is an inspiration to many women and
she will continue to leave her famous fashion-forward footprint around the
city.
