Four Denim Styles to Modernize Your Wardrobe

 

 

1. Matt & Bow Straight Leg– Love the dark blue wash on these straight-leg jeans! Excellent for dressing up and can be worn with all your shoes.

2. Mother Insider Crop– Super flattering and fun details. They will look great with the taller bootie (pictured), vans,  flats, or sandals!

3. Mother Light Wash– I own and love these (photo above). A great modern take on denim. Wear with almost any shoe!

4. Boyish Tommy Jeans– We all need black jeans in our wardrobe. These will be great for dressing up or down. Wear with taller bootie, mule, small heel, sandal, or flat.

New Year New Wardrobe- Sustainable Brands

 

Happy Happy New Year. It has been a hot minute since I posted. Life has been busy with LOTS of big changes (more on that later) and I just need a social media break tbh. Fingers crossed I get some of my creative blog juices flowing again so I can post more in 2022. 😉 For my first post of this new year, I wanted to focus on a capsule wardrobe featuring good quality pieces that are all sustainable!  So check out below for some shopping ideas and outfit inspiration!

 

Sustainable Capsule Wardrobe

 

Black Cashmere V-Neck-  So much to know and understand about cashmere. The first is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, bargain cashmere is made from short fibers that will pill and break after a few wears. Bargain cashmere is also probably not ethically sourced and I don’t know about you but I want the goats that make my cashmere living the good life ;).

Basic White Tee– Everyone I mean everyone needs tee’s in their wardrobe. 100% pre-shrunk organic cotton, GOTS certified, Made in the USA

Washable Silk Blouse– A nice little pop of color to this otherwise basic wardrobe

 Dark Wash “mom” jeans- These are as mom jeans as I can go! For a sustainable brand, they are budget-friendly!

Boyish Jeans– I just discovered this brand and I am very impressed so far. Great denim, great price points!

Washable Silk Cami Dress – These dresses are a great addition to basic wardrobes as they can be worn so many ways year-round.

Cashmere Hoodie–  This brand is budget-friendly and produces quality and humane cashmere! 100% Grade A Mongolian cashmere

 

 

Yves Saint Laurent Wallet- One of my personal favorite ways to shop sustainably is 2nd hand. There are more and more websites popping up that feature great 2nd hand merchandise. This sweet wallet would be a great way to add some designer to your wardrobe.

Pink Leather Crossbody–  A beautiful Italian leather crossbody bag. Handcrafted in Florence, Italy from 100% Italian top grain leather.  Luxury quality for an approachable price.

Hoops- Y’all if you have one pair of earrings they should be hoops! Ethically Made in Thailand

Link Necklace– One of the hottest necklaces of the moment. Looks lovely layered or alone, ethically made in Italy

Moschino Belt- Another 2nd hand treasure to replace the overplayed GG belt! If you don’t love this particular belt there are plenty more on the site.

Aloha Booties– This brand takes pre-orders on most of their shoes to prevent overproduction ( waste). So you may have to plan ahead but they offer discounts on pre-orders. And all the leather is sustainable ( of course).

Rothys- A great sneaker for an everyday basic dressing made of recycled water bottles.

My Top Ten Picks from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021

Hello everyone. It’s been a while. I am posting my top 10 pieces from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale today! I will try to post a few more items before the sale opens to the general public. Above are the pieces I personally purchased and I will explain why below! Happy Shopping. If you aren’t a cardholder you can just add the items you love to your wishlist then add them to your cart from there when the sale opens to all!!

 

Charollet Tilbury Pallete– Love this makeup artist and her versatile pallets.  Pillow Talk lipstick is gorgeous and this palette works on all skin tones.

Monica Vinader– I am a sucker for hearts and this piece just spoke to me. I will wear it alone and layered and you can’t go wrong with a simple necklace like this!

Big Hoops- A wardrobe basic! When in doubt hoop it out!

All Saints Moto– I love a great moto jacket and am obsessed with this sage color. This is the jacket I am recommending to all my clients. You can wear as a blazer, over a dress, with a tee! So many options!!

Little Red Dress– This piece is inspired by a higher-end designer I love red and you will look so cute rocking this with booties!

The Dojo– I am super excited for the new pants silhouettes!! If you only purchase one thing from the sale it should be an updated pair of jeans. This was the first thing I put in my cart.

Natori Feathers Bra– My favorite bra I stock up every year on the sale. Bras really only last one year and you need to rest them between wears so buy a few! Nude, Black, and a fun color!

Converse– I have never really been a huge Converse fan but I am in love with these!! Love the gold grommet and the leather this will be my new go-to fashion sneaker.

Pink Loafer– I am in love with this loafer, If you don’t want to try the pink it comes in black and cream too!

Combat Boots– I already own this and get tons of compliments it’s a more feminine chunky boot!
