Today’s post is outlining all of my favorite fall fashion essentials. These are items I can’t leave the house without! And I love to use them to mix up some items from other seasons, as well as create capsule looks that last the season.

Do you have a hard time deciding on things you can wear this fall? Here in California our weather has been all over the place, so it’s a little hard to decide on a nice warm coat to wear. If you pick up 2-3 things off this list you’ll be set for the season!

6 Trendy Denim Jacket Styles

I LOVE denim jackets and think the are the easiest quickest way to complete an outfit. Several different denim jacket styles can be so versatile. They look great with a LBD and even with denim jeans! Yes… I said jeans. Just make sure the washes are different. 

All of these denim jacket styles are seasonless too. You can wear them all year round. If you don’t already have a few in your wardrobe, here are some of my personal favorites. 

These denim jacket styles are classic and great for any time of year, especially in fall when the weather is a little cooler.

Oversized/Boyfriend 

I love this look with a slimmer sillouette underneath. A fitted dress, skirt or pants would make this look a little more balanced. Be careful of going over the top with fabric.

Embellished 

Such a fun way to add a bit of elegance to a classic look. This would look so nice with a LBD out on a date.

Colored

This can lean a little more into the trends of the season, but it doesn’t have to. This lavender color above can be worn in any season. Pair it with some leopard boots in the fall or a floral dress in the spring.  

Cropped

Great with high waisted bottoms and a cropped top, or a fitted dress for a sexy night out.

Vintage 

Add a little interest to a more classic shape with this option.

Traditional 

Nothing beats the versatility of a well made denim jacket with a classic shape. You can’t go wrong if you were going to make this the first denim jacket in your wardrobe.
