Hi Jennifer,
I read your blog everyday. Your posts have helped me a lot in the last months. I’ve cleaned out my closet twice this summer, and have started putting outfits together that I would have never even thought about! Now I think I am starting to explore color a little bit more and not be so match-y.
Anyways, my question is this
How can you tell what kinds of dresses look best with boots? I have calf length and ankle boots that I can’t wait to start wearing this fall but I have no idea what dresses would look best with them. I’ve tried on some of the dresses I own but I feel ridiculous.
Help?
Thanks so much!!

Okay guys here is the deal will boots and dresses.
You really need to have great legs to pull off the short/booties with a dress.
They cut your leg off at the feet making your legs look shorter.
The midcalf boot ends at the largest part if the lower leg, making you leg look shorter.
The best boot for every leg is the right under the knee length. Everyone can wear this boot.
As far as the dress length and the boot.
I like the shorter dresses with the booties, this shows more leg therefore gives the appearance of a longer leg.
The just under the knee boot looks great on most people and work with most of dress lengths.
Just be careful with the bulkier boots and a big bulky dress that will not be a slimming or feminine combo. It the boot fits at the ankle that helps.
I’d save the riding boots for leggings and slim fitted skirts.
Thanks so much for your question!
