Hey y’all! It’s Britta, the Intern. As you know, I’m a sucker for Urban trends. I love pops of color and flashes of gold. I find that dressing a little edgier can make you feel truly too cool for school(: As we are at the beginning of 2014, it’s the perfect time to make a statement. The jeans I chose for this outfit are a recent addition to my closet. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM TO PIECES. They are coated black jeans with zipper embellishments and ribbed accents over the knees. They’re unbelievably comfortable and I’m thinking of purchasing the same pair in Oxblood. I also have 2 watch choices for this outfit. You see, I originally fell in love with the Golden Bradshaw watch, until I was bee-bopping around in Michael Kors at UTC… My experience went a little something like this (slight dramatization):
Me: *gazing at the glass box, home to numerous gorgeous watches.*
(I may have drooled a tad)
MK Employee: Would you like to try on a watch?
Me: Yes please! The Golden Bradshaw…
*Black Bradshaw catches my eye.*
MK: The Bradshaw is a good choice. There’s lots of metal options.
Me: I WANT THE BLACK BRADSHAW!!…. I mean, can I try on the black one instead?
MK: *gasps. eyes widen.* That’s a bold choice!! It’s so masculine! Are you sure about this? It’s a risk!
Me: It’s a risk I’m willing to take.
PAUSE: At this point I’m thinking, it’s a little masculine, but something was compelling me to try it on. So I did.
Me: Oh my goodness it’s perfection. I must have it.
The End.
So that’s kind of what happened…
Moral of the story is that it’s not a chunky, scary watch like I thought it would be. It was actually quite gorgeous, and PERFECT for an urban outfit like this. I included the gold watch too, because it is equally as gorgeous and works just as well.
