I created this simple key to pant leg/ shoe combos. Some of my shoe be “Do” advice to you!
Boot-cut and Flare– This leg opening looks best with a heel of some sort. Whether you choose a boot, a wedge sneaker, or a pump, a heel is my preferred way to wear this pant. If you must wear a flat I recommend a pointed toe, as it elongates the foot. If you are tall you can pull off the flat shoe with this leg much easier than the petite gals can.
Skinny and Straight– The most diverse leg. You can wear a flat or a heel with these…can I get an Amen?
Crops- Yep, it is winter, but they are still “in.” With this leg, wear something more feminine!
Now those of you in those darn cold states… Tights and trouser socks for your pumps will help keep you a little warmer, check out the ones made for the cold. I also love these silk socks for loafers, TOM’s, and oxfords. You can also wear these invisible socks they should help a little. Uniqlo also makes great “heat tech” socks and tights. Personally when I travel I wear my boots out and about and change into my heels when I arrive at my destination. You could all just move to Southern California? Then you wouldn’t have to worry about trivial matters like socks in the winter 😉
Hope this helps a little!
