You all know about my day yesterday right?
I was invited as a “VIP” to the Westfield Style Tour with Stacy London…
Ladies it was a good time!
An impressive, very well put together, professional and most importantly stylish event.
My lovely guest Shirley, and I, got front row seats to the fashion show/ Q&A with Stacy London.
We got to hang out with her privately, ask questions and of course take pictures!!
We also got hair and skin beauty sessions, with free products, gotta love that!
Lastly we were handed Westfield VIP totes with some great giveaways like a T-shirt, (a handbag shaped) sugar cookie, perfume, water bottle, etc.
I hope Shirley had as much fun as I did!!
I have to say I sighed with relief that she approved of my outfit ( you know how she is on What Not to Wear after all 😉 )
Now I can’t wait for it to all happen again next year!!
Here is Shirley’s take on the day…
Dear Jennifer,
What a fun afternoon! Thank you so much for inviting me to be your guest at the Westfield ‘Style Tour’ at North County Fair today! I had no idea what to expect and was super excited to see what it was all about. I am new to your blog (introduced through the recent CircleBuzz ad last month) so it was real treat to get to meet you in person today! It was more than a surprise to receive such VIP treatment from the Westfield staff, up front seats for the runway show, personally talk to Stacy London, and receive a beautiful gift/goodie bag to boot! Westfield did an amazing job organizing this outstanding event. Tons of women were there and fashion buzz was in the air. I really enjoyed hearing Stacy’s tips and trends for the upcoming season (pops of colored details paired with neutral basics, lace tights, faux fur, brown being the new neutral) during the runway show. After the show, it was very special to get to meet Stacy in person. On her TLC show, she along with her co-host Clinton Kelly can come across pretty tough (and sometimes ruthless), but in person, she was extremely kind in delivering positive feedback on my outfit (color of top, use of scarf, sparkle in the shoes) and providing down-to-earth advice like what jeans would look best on my body type (nothing that sits too low in the waist or too decorative that focuses on the hip and takes away from elongating the leg). These are things I have learned before but definitely needed a reminder! I also really appreciated hearing your feedback and recommendations. I felt honored to have that one-on-one time with you! This event definitely re-charged my fashion battery! I am a work-from-home/juggle-two-kids mom with not a lot of time to shop. Honestly, I frequently feel overwhelmed with all the trends, styles, and beautiful things that are constantly out there. It’s amazing, after the brief time spent with you today, I can definitely see the benefit of having a trusted stylist’s assistance. I feel more confident in my ability to navigate through a store and select items that would work best for me. Thanks again, Jennifer!
Your newest, but super loyal fan,
Shirley
