How to Style Your Family Photo Outfits
Matchy-matchy outfits are sooooo last year. There is no reason to be completely matching for your family photos, instead, I am going to give you some ideas to coordinate your family photo outfits.
Dress for the location
Are you having the photoshoot in a wooded area? You might want to layer up a little and have appropriate footwear for that location. Beach photos? Think barefoot or sandals, light colors, etc.
Choose 3 Colors for Theme
Choose 3 colors and have each family member dress in a combination of those colors. You don’t have to have everyone in blue shirts for example.
Dress Based on Personality
Have FUN with your outfits. If your personality is vivacious and lively, you won’t want everyone wearing beige in the photos. You also wouldn’t dress like a librarian if that’s not how you’re usually outfitted. 🙂
Don’t Forget the Accessories
Things like jewelry and watches can really add to your outfits. It’s also a way to showcase your personality and differentiate your outfits.
Think Texture Instead of Pattern
Rather than thinking only of patterns in your outfits, try texture like layers and fabrics. This can help to add more visual interest to the outfit as a whole. It will also give some variety to your family’s outfits.
